Charli XCX Portrays a Twisted Persona of Herself in Satirical Film Preview

The celebrated musician is getting ready for a major film presence in 2026, starting with the satirical film titled The Moment.

In the film, Charli portrays what she refers to as a hell version of her own persona.

It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever seen, Charli commented.

She elaborated in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, however the inspiration originated from the expectation to make one.

A Sneak Peek into The Moment

The first teaser, released on recently, mixes real clips from her live performances with imagined backstage scenes.

The film is directed and co-written by the director, who explained that the plot centers on a reality where the artist made entirely different choices during the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

She also signed on to star in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

I’m deeply appreciating my acting journey, the performer shared. I feel very, very inspired at the moment in this area, and I solely choose to take on roles that stimulate me.

Soundtrack Involvement

February will also bring the debut of the filmmaker’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase original songs from Charli.

She is also set to provide music for the story Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.
